15-19 August, 2018 more than 50 delegates from 9 countries took part in the "CIS Youth Startup Platform" project.
The event gathered entrepreneurs from Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan The project was developed to discuss the problems faced by young entrepreneurs in the CIS and Eurasian countries and will seek solutions for the development of the launch ecosystem in our countries and strengthen cooperation at the regional level between our countries in this area. Participants had the opportunity to share best cases and practices with their countries and discuss the problems they face. The organizers will also travel to business incubators, successful startups and other ecosystem participants in Azerbaijan to learn more about the host ecosystem of the host country. Participants the "CIS Youth Startup Platform" learned how small and medium-sized businesses in Azerbaijan are supported. Entrepreneurs visited the Business Incubator Barama (similar to HTP in Minsk), the state SME Support Fund (whose leader dreams to create an ideal place and conditions for entrepreneurship), as well as the foundation of the Youth Foundation of the Azerbaijan Azerbaijan.
